Hitched Productions was formed 4 years ago. From what started as a favour filming a friend's wedding on a Panasonic SD Handycam has since transformed into a successful, thriving business.
Most people get married with intention of only doing it once and typically it is the biggest day of their life to date. With such importance surrounding your big day, you want someone you can trust to capture those crucial moments. Unlike Hollywood movies, weddings do not get a second-take and there is no calling 'cut' when a shot is not going to plan.
Our passion for shooting and editing weddings continues to grow. No two weddings are the same so every day is something different. Sure we apply our style and techniques to our work but the clients change and therefore the shots are always different. Working with different photographers also allows us to capture a variety of different shots as each photographer also has their own style.
Couples often say on the wedding day, 'How long have you and the photographer been working together?', to which the reply is along the lines of 'about 4 hours'. It is absolutely imperative that the videographer and photographer work together; both need certain shots, however, most of what we need can be captured from what the photographer needs. The last thing a bride and groom want is a photographer who wants one shot and a videographer who wants to waste time and slightly change every shot. It is 'your day', not ours!
